Nice to meet you!

Who am I?

Sixteen Yards · Male · Born 2002 · Canadian

Throughout my childhood and adolescence, I've dabbled in various creative outlets, including papercraft, 3D modelling, 3D printing, and game modding, always constantly motivated by an admiration for cars, motorcycles, and other such vehicles that has yet to fade. I am most familiar with Blender, which I first took up as a hobby in 2017. Being a COVID-era Georgian College alumnus, I consider myself well-acquainted with remote work and messaging platforms such as Slack and Discord, which has already proven useful for freelance contracts for clients halfway across the globe.

The name "Sixteen Yards" is a play on the idiom "the whole nine yards" that also incorporates my initials, and the accompanying logo and colour palette are both nods to common digital representations of Cartesian 3D axes. I conduct most of my online hobby activities under the alias "The Stig Is A Spy"—not the most succinct online handle, but it beats just having the name of a copyrighted character and nothing else.

Samples

  • Papercraft Honda Epson NSX GT500 '14 with custom transport truck, dated August 2015. The diagonal creases on the front of the truck are a result of it being made from an origami box of the "inflatable" kind.
  • Lego sports bike and rider MOC from September 2022. Features working steering and rear suspension. Heavily influenced by mid-2000s "litrebikes" like the ones featured in Tourist Trophy, the game of my childhood par excellence.
  • Blender render from January 2023. Done for a college assignment, with my chosen theme being an under-construction repertoire.
  • BeamMP race that I edited into a pastiche of Gran Turismo 4 's menu style. Fullscreen viewing recommended.
